Melissa is mom to three children; her youngest son (Augie) has Down Syndrome. She spent 15 years working for Deere & Co. in varying technology and marketing roles, most recently as a Marketing Leader in Customer Acquisition and Retention. She recently left the corporate world to focus more on her family. Today she enjoys being a stay-at-home mom, as well as running her blog and volunteering throughout the community.

Katy is the sister of an individual with Down syndrome. In addition to serving on the MADSS Board, Katy also facilitates Sibshops on behalf of MADSS. Katy works in sales for BizFilings, a division of Wolters Kluwer. She is also the Community Vice President for the Junior League of Madison, a member of the Wisconsibs adult sibling advisory group, and is the founder and President of the Madison Needs Network.
Max is a certified genetic counselor at SSM Health/Dean Medical Group and has an interest in prenatal genetics and the translational meaning of risk. He enjoys soccer, trail running, reading, and music.

Tara and her husband Josh lost a boy at 12 weeks that was prenatally diagnosed with Down Syndrome. She is very passionate about supporting this wonderful cause. Tara is the Vice President of Human Resources for Palmer Johnson Power Systems and assists Josh in their family business, The Conger Collection.

Jake Hollman- Treasurer
Jake joined the MADSS board in 2016. He has 4 children with his 6 year old having Down Syndrome. Jake is employed at Next Step Ministries as their director of operations. Working with today’s youth is a huge passion of Jakes. While Jake understands immediate needs that MADSS might have, his gifts are more in the long term, vision forecasting. He is eager to help MADSS meeting the needs of it’s members, families and community

Comprised of business professionals, community leaders, people who have personal relationships with someone who has Down syndrome and a self advocate.
The board provides leadership decision-making guidance to staff, fundraising support and specific expertise related to their personal and professional backgrounds.
Meeting are generally held bi-monthly on the first Wednesday of every other month. Board members actively participate in a variety of committees.
