Dynamic Duals, sponsored by the MADSS & GiGi's Playhouse, is a group for individuals with DS- ASD and their families. A formal ASD diagnosis is not required. Join us for our third session where we explore children and family's needs and work towards creating individualized goals and strategies to achieve those goals. This is a monthly group where childcare is provided for both the child with the dual diagnosis, or suspicion of dual diagnosis, and their siblings. After plans have been created, 1:1 volunteers, who are trained to work specifically with your child, will work on unique goals designed for your child. Goals may involve communication, transitions, sensory responsiveness, feeding protectiveness, repetitive motor behaviors, sleep disturbances, anxiety, behavioral regression etc. Every attempt will be made to provide childcare for both the child with DS-ASD and siblings, if requested in advance; however child care is not guaranteed. Childcare registration closes Sep 20. For more information or to RSVP, send an email to Wendy at Info@MADSS.org
